Brendan believes the solution to our society’s health and weight problems lies in convenient, alkaline, plant-based foods that balance individuals’ inner pH levels and provide the necessary amount of protein, fiber, nutrients and antioxidants.

For years, Brazier unsuccessfully searched for convenient whole foods to sustain his intense training regiment and vegan philosophy. With the need for proper nourishment and peak energy levels on the go, he began making his own plant-based drinks and hauling his blender everywhere he traveled. After a car accident in 2003, Brazier’s naturopathy suggested Sequel Natural’s MacaSure and ChlorEssence plant supplements to promote faster healing. Within eight weeks, he was back to competing in triathlons, and attributes the speedy healing to the plant-based supplements and whole food diet.
Inspired by the effectiveness of their products, Brazier teamed up with Sequel Naturals to formulate Vega, his delicious, plant-based product line. Vega products are a convenient way for busy individuals to get the nutrient and energy benefits of raw, whole foods without high calories or bland taste.

Vega, which includes delicious flavors of drink formulas, snack bars and oil blends, are all-natural, gluten, wheat, soy and allergen-free. They provide 100% of the recommended daily vitamins and minerals and a wealth of other plant nutrients, including chlorella, maca and Omega 3s in easy, on-the-go form.

To his credit, he also won Mr. Teenage Arkansas at the age of 17 and Masters Mr. Arkansas at age 40. Still active in bodybuilding at age 42, Todd’s passion is living a healthy lifestyle through fitness and nutrition. He shares this wealth of knowledge and experience through public lectures and media appearances. A long time advocate of healthy food and natural products, Todd also owned and operated a health food store in Harrison, Arkansas called the Almond Tree for over 9 years.

Matt McLean – National Vice President – Organic Trade Association and Owner of Uncle Matt’s Organic, Inc. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration, Matt went back to his hometown of Clermont, Florida and started a juice brokerage business in 1993. During the next several years he learned valuable lessons about juice flavor and quality and discovered a passion for the organic way of life. Matt then launched Uncle Matt’s Organic with 100% not-from-concentrate organic orange juice.

“For me, organic just made the most sense, “says Matt. “Fewer toxins to the environment and less toxic residues on the fruit are ultimately what’s best for everybody. It really is the way my grandfather and great-grandfather used to grow citrus. Our philosophy is based on building healthy soils that will yield a healthier tree so it can naturally defend itself against disease, not the single factor analysis of today’s Ag world where if you have a pest you find a pesticide!”

Uncle Matt’s, based in Clermont, Florida is celebrating its 10th anniversary, capitalizing on a trend that has seen sales of organic agricultural products jump from $1 billion nationally in 1990 to $20 billion in 2007. Uncle Matt’s Organic, Inc. offers premium quality organic juices, fresh fruit and organic citrus gift baskets. Their produce and juice products have no synthetic additives or preservatives. To further assure high quality standards, the juice is certified Kosher and Pareve by Florida Kosher Services. Uncle Matt’s Organic products are produced under the strict regulation and guidelines of Quality Certification Services, the largest and most respected organic organization in Florida. The company is an active member of OTA and supports the Organic Farming Research Foundation.

McLean’s company, like others in the industry, has recorded average growth of 15% to 20% per year, compared with 3% to 5% for conventional agricultural products.
